Church Security in Light of Jihadi Threats
On December 26, 2017 the news media reported on the first video statement released by the Islamic State (ISIS) in Somalia. “#ISIS called on lone wolves to attack during #Christmas and #NewYearsEve, and to hit nightclubs, churches, and markets, regardless of the presence of children,” the SITE Intelligence Group said in a description of the video. This was the second consecutive Christmas season during which jihadi groups issued threats and calls for attacks on Christian targets.
