CCI will present a 2-day Field Security Seminar (FSS) on 27-28 October 2023 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Seating is limited. Pre-enrollment and screening will be required. Exact location and other details will be provided upon enrollment approval.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The FSS is a field-oriented training for faith-based, international workers operating in higher risk environments. Topics for this seminar will include a basic theology of risk, personal security (profile management; surveillance; attack cycle; violent encounters), basic travel security (hotels; airports; taxis; money), active shooters and coordinated attacks, hostage survival, carjacking, basic interrogation management, and vehicle ambushes.
The FSS is presented by experienced, faith-based global security professionals. The course is interactive, and will involve some practical exercises.
PRICE AND LOGISTICS
The price for the FSS is $460 USD per participant. This price includes materials plus two (2) teas and lunch each day. Participants from the same organization may take a $35 discount (all may take discount). The seminar fee does NOT include lodging and meals at the conference venue, which are extra. The cost to stay at the conference center from 26-29 October (3 nights), plus evening and morning meals is 45,296 cfa (approximately $76 USD). The cost for airport taxi each way is around 15,000 cfa (about $25 USD) each way.
Upon successful enrollment, the information regarding exact location and reserving room and meals at the training location will be shared.
Please also note: the training will be presented in English without translation for French.
COURSE SCHEDULE
The seminar will begin at 8:30 AM (08:30) and end around 5:00 PM (17:00) each day.
REFUND AND REUMBURSEMENT POLICY
CCI will issue a full refund under the following circumstances:
- For cancellations made more than 30 days from the start of the seminar
- If CCI cancels the seminar due to low enrollment or some other reason*
- For cancellations made under 30 days from the start of the seminar if the course is full and the open seat is filled by another participant
*Participants may also carry forward their payment to a different seminar without penalty
Otherwise, CCI will refund:
- 75% of CCI’s fee with 15-30 days’ notice, or
- 50% of CCI’s fee with 8-14 days’ notice, or
- 25% of CCI’s fee with 7 days or less notice
NOTE: Any refund of lodging and meal costs shall be at the sole discretion of the venue provider and must be arranged between seminar participant and venue.
