About the Seminar
CCI is pleased to offer its first ever Field Security Manager Seminar (FSMS), scheduled for December 3-7, 2018 at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, NC.
The 5-day FSMS has been developed to train and equip field workers and leaders from the faith-based community who have the title or responsibility (whether full-time or part-time, official or unofficial) of “security manager” (to include “field crisis manager” and/or “field risk manager”).
While CCI’s Crisis Management Seminar is largely geared toward leaders at the headquarters level, and the Field Security Seminar is focused on workers of all levels serving in higher risk areas, the FSMS is for field workers with some level of security leadership or responsibility.
The FSMS is also beneficial for organizational leaders who have a desire to implement a field security program in their organization or to staff a field security position in the future.
The FSMS will cover a number of topics related to field security management, to include, but not limited to: concept justification; information source development; staff travel; receiving short-term teams; risk assessment; contingency planning; physical security assessments; government interactions; overland travel; managing attacks; hostage-taking (avoidance and preparedness); surveillance management; physical security measures and technology; medical trauma preparedness and response. See sample course schedule here.
The cost for the FSMS is $795 per student. A seminar discount of $45 is available for members attending from the same organization (all may take discount).
Who Should Attend?
- Any field worker with the title or function (officially or unofficially, full-time or part-time) of “security manager”, to include “field” crisis manager or risk manager.
- Any worker with aspirations of becoming a field security manager or who wishes to expand his or her expertise in the area of field security management.
- Field leaders who do not have a security function but wish to grow in their understanding an implementation of security principles and practices in the field.
- Organizational leaders who have the desire to expand or implement a field security program or staff a field security position.
- Others: field emergency response personnel; facilities personnel with involvement in security measures.

Some communication may be sent about coordinating rides between attendees, but it is ultimately up to each participant to arrange this.
