Threats Related to Hotels in Bamako, Mali

CCI has received information from reliable local sources in Bamako that as a result of specific security concerns related to upcoming elections and due to the anniversary of the attack against the Radisson Hotel on November 20, 2015:
- The United States Embassy has moved all USG employees out of hotels and into alternative living situations,
- The USG is providing security for employees at these alternative living situations, and
- Drivers are being provided for USG employees.
CCI has not independently verified this information, and as of the issue of this Special Advisory no official notice has been posted by the Embassy or the Department of State. However due to the nature of information and the timeline of the threat CCI is passing this information to our constituents.
